Domenick C. Valeri is CGP&H’s Chief Housing Inspector/Cost Estimator. Domenick brings more than 35 years experience to our team. He is a New Jersey licensed Building Inspector HHS, Construction Official, and Building Sub-Code Official.

He is a New Jersey Certified Teacher of the Carpentry Trade and is registered with the United States Department of Labor as a Trainer of Carpenter Apprentices. Domenick has 35 years experience in the construction industry as a carpenter, building and renovating shopping centers, schools, churches, hospitals and high rise structures, many that he supervised. To maintain his Building Inspectors License, Domenick attends mandatory seminars for all updates of the building codes for the State of New Jersey.

Throughout his 10+ years at CGP&H, Domenick is responsible for training new inspectors, doing comprehensive initial site inspections for housing rehabilitation programs, determining existing interior and exterior code violations and other housing rehabilitation needs, preparing work specifications and cost estimates, reviewing bids, and developing project specific scopes of work that maximize the use of public funds while always successfully conforming to all program rules and funding limits.

Prior to construction, Domenick meets with homeowners and contractors to review the terms of their construction agreement, verifies that homeowner and contractor both agree to what repairs are being done and witnesses the signing of program documents. Like all of our inspectors, during construction, Domenick meets regularly with homeowners and contractors to inspect the construction work for the homeowner and processes payments for the contractor.

Dom is available to both homeowners and contractors, day and night for meetings and/or telephone discussions that facilitate solutions to problems initially seen by either party. Domenick also uses his three decades of experience in working with people to serve as an excellent arbiter in those occasions of a dispute between a homeowner and a contractor invariably helping both parties feel satisfied with the outcome. It is this spirit of teamwork with the homeowner, the contractor and fellow employees that helps make CGP&H the pre-eminent housing administration services company in the entire state.

In his free time, Dom enjoys listening to the oldies music (the ones that you can understand the words). Dom and his wife Dot have adopted 3 kittens that are 3 to 14 years old. All 3 were rescued kittens. Dom likes to do various types of remodeling around his home and Dot likes to cook and do gardening. Dot also has various species of African Violets that she is very proud of. They spend a lot of time with their grandchildren that range in age from 18 to 24 years old and enjoy every precious moment with them.
